Two Woman Meet for Coffee…

Life has been busy lately.. I have been writing and sorting through some unresolved pain which can lead to resentment and anger (will share more soon). But on the bright side Praise and Coffee Magazine came out and it is an exciting issue about equipping woman to step out to lead or start a Praise and Coffee in their community. I think far too often we think we need to be qualified when in reality you are qualified as believers. Last night was my first Praise and Coffee since visiting with Sue and Denise in Michigan and I was given this beautiful card that I believe captures the essence of Praise and Coffee. I think far too often when we think of ministry we think of a production with lights, worship and a dynamic speaker. I am not saying this is not a good thing or ineffective I just know my heart longs for a deeper connection with woman. I want to hear and be heard. I want to share my life without fear of judgment or ridicule. I want to encourage woman right where they are at in life. Two women meeting for coffee and sharing life is the heart of Praise and Coffee.

They Talked about life-

things they were working through

and things they were learning.

They showed each other grace

and gave each other courage.

Even though neither of them

had all the answers,

                                                 they knew God sure did.

                                                                            So they laughed and cried,

                                                                               shared their lives.

                                                                             And in the end, when their mugs

                                                                                     were empty….

                                                                                 their hearts were full.
